VERSION HISTORY: Version 3.75: 3/6/2006 1) Corrected fieldsize code to output list of fieldnames on both platforms. 2) Updated Access to FileMaker process to use a DSN-less ODBC connection to Access databases to improve accuracy of getting metadata. On MacOS X, FmPro Migrator now utilizes the Actual ODBC for Access ODBC driver from Actual Technologies (www.actualtechnologies.com). 3) Added support for converting Access Date/Time fields to FileMaker 7/8 TIMESTAMP fields. 4) Enhanced FileMaker to Access migration instructions with info about using the max_fieldsize report. Version 3.68: 11/25/2005 1) Added migration of SQL Server databases to FileMaker 7/8 database tables on MacOS X and Windows. 2) Updated FileMaker to Access migration scripts to utilize the same Access database ODBC DSN name for all migrated database tables. 3) Updated fieldsize_report code to handle situations in which fieldnames contain spaces. Version 3.57: 6/13/2005 1) Added Drag and Drop interface for migrating FileMaker 2 database files on MacOS X and Windows. 2) Changed FileMaker 7 table creation process to utilize *.sql file executed within FmPro Worksheet. Using this new method the FileMaker field names are enclosed with double quotes to allow field names with spaces and special characters. 3) FileMaker text fields are now created with an open ended column size, as would be the case if the field was created manually by a user within the FileMaker Define Database dialog. 4) Implemented work around for issue with Access database blank table names. 5) Fixed issue with missing "." characters within FileMaker 3,4,5 and 6 Calculation Formulas. 6) Fixed condition of FileMaker Not Empty and Unique field status not being recognized if both were set. 7) Corrected FileMaker file version info displayed in report file if multiple versions of files were dropped at the same time. Version 3.46: 5/21/2005 1) Added Drag and Drop interface for migrating FileMaker 5/6 database files on MacOS X and Windows. 2) Added Validation Formulas to report files for FileMaker 3/4/5/6 databases. 3) Added generation of Perl CGI scripts for FileMaker database conversions implemented via the Drag and Drop interface. 4) Fixed issues with migration scripts for Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server. 5) Fixed issues with repeating fields scripts not getting created for FileMaker database conversions implemented via the Drag and Drop interface. 6) Updated and enhanced migration instructions and troubleshooting tips for all databases. FileMaker Time and Date fields are now accurately identified because this info is now read directly from FileMaker 3/4 binary files. Calculation field formulas and lists of field names located on each layout are also read from the file and listed within the report file which is generated for each FileMaker 3/4 database file. Previously these features were only available on MacOS X and now are available on both MacOS X and Windows. 2) Fixed FmPro Migrator GUI to use FileMaker 7 passwords as entered on the FileMaker tab. 3) Updated FileMaker 7 Create Table code with larger VARCHAR() column sizes to prevent problems with ODBC data transfers into FileMaker 7. This means that multiple FileMaker databases can be migrated without having to create a new ODBC DSN for each database file. 5) Improved the repeating fields migration scripts for all databases to utilize the FileMaker 7 username/password info entered into the GUI.
