The Installgen Options folder tab contains a field for
entering the password to be used for Intermedia/Oracle Text (9i) and
checkboxes which determine which database features
are built into the database.
checkbox: Oracle Jserver
Check this item to build the database with the Jserver feature.
checkbox: Intermedia/Oracle Text (Oracle 9i)
Check this item to build the database with the Intermedia feature (now
called Oracle Text in version 9i).
field: Intermedia Passwords
The password to be used for the CTXSYS, ORDSYS, MDSYS, and ORDPLUGINS
database accounts when Intermedia is installed.
checkbox: Oracle Spatial
Check this item to build the database with the Oracle Spatial feature.
checkbox: Oracle Time Series
Check this item to build the database with the Oracle Time Series feature.
checkbox: Oracle Visual Information Retrieval
Check this item to build the database with the Oracle Visual Information
Retrieval feature.
Note: This feature is not generally available with version 9i databases
and above.
checkbox: Advanced Replication
The Advanced Replication feature is not installed or configurable with
Installgen, so it is disabled. Advanced Replication installation and
configuration is done with the Repgen
application.
checkbox: SQL Plus Help
Check this item to build the database with the SQL Plus Help feature.
checkbox: OLAP
Check this item to build the database with the OLAP feature.
checkbox: Demo Schemas
Check this item to build the database with the Demo Schemas.
Note: The Demo Schemas should generally not be installed in a production
database, but could provide useful examples within a development database.
Default demo schema passwords are not automatically changed during the
install process.
